The Onyemaechi Hope for the Helpless Foundation conducted a free medical outreach in Atani community, Ogbaru LGA, Anambra State, providing healthcare services to the less privileged. The event attracted local residents, NGOs, and government health agencies including the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) and Malaria Eradication and Safe Health Initiative of Nigeria.
The foundation’s coordinator, Mr. Divine Okenwa Kennedy Onyema, emphasized the outreach was a selfless service to humanity, aiming to help those who cannot afford hospital care and to promote health awareness.
Health services provided included:
Medical checkups
Malaria and blood pressure screenings
Health education on family planning and sexual health
General medical counseling
Key distributions:
165 insecticide-treated mosquito nets
Malaria and BP medications
Male and female condoms
The event was supported by local health officials including Mrs. Chukwurah Patricia and Mrs. Angelina Offor, who spoke on reproductive health and moral living.
